GINGER COOKIES 
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup molasses
1 cup buttermilk
5 to 6 Cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves

Cream shortening, sugar and molasses. Add remaining ingredients. Refrigerate overnight. Roll out and cut into desired shapes.

Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
