5 lb. beef, meat 1/4 c. water 1/4 c. wine vinegar 1/4 c. ketchup 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 c. olive oil 3 tbsp. honey or brown sugar 1 tbsp. liquid smoke 1 tbsp. onion flakes 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. garlic powder Cut meat into thin strips (1/8 inch) about 4 inches long. Soak overnight in a cover pot in above mixture. Put meat on a rack in oven to dry at about 160 degrees with door slightly open. |
