FAVORITE LASAGNA CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1 (1 lb. 8 oz.) can tomatoes 1 pkg. spaghetti sauce mix 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 lb. lasagna noodles 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese Brown meat in Dutch oven or deep kettle. Add salt, crushed garlic and pepper. Simmer about 10 minutes. Add canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, and spaghetti sauce mix. Stir thoroughly; cover. Simmer for 30 minutes. Boil noodles in salted water until almost tender; drain and rinse. Pour 1/4 of the meat sauce into 12x8x2 inch baking dish. Cover with 1/3 of the cooked noodles. Arrange 1/3 of the Mozzarella cheese over noodles. Repeat layers 2 more times, ending with meat sauce. Top with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 6-8 servings. |
