BANANA NUT BREAD 
1/2 c. shortening or butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. mashed bananas (2-3 lg. bananas)
1/2 c. nuts

Combine ingredients and mix thoroughly. Grease and flour bread pans and fill half full. Bake at 350 degrees for 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Made very moist bread. It did not say what size pans. Next time I will use an 8-inch pan as 9-inch was a little large. I added 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg. I think this enhances the banana flavor. Overall a good recipe marked a keeper.
