CARDE'S JEWISH CHEESE BREAD 
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. onion, chopped
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 c. cheese, grated
Poppyseeds

Saute onion in 1 tablespoon butter. Mix dry ingredients together. Add butter, egg, milk, cheese and onion.

Pat into large scone shape and bake in greased pie pan. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with poppyseeds.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
