2/3 c. melted butter
4 c. quick oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 scant c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. vanilla
9 oz. chocolate chips
3/4 c. peanut butter

Grease bottom of 9 x 13 inch cake pan. In mixing bowl, sprinkle salt on oatmeal; add brown sugar and mix. Melt butter and syrup in saucepan. Add vanilla. Add melted mixture to oatmeal mixture and mix well. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 12 minutes at 400 degrees. Cool. Melt chocolate chips. Stir in peanut butter. Spread evenly over oatmeal mixture. Cut into squares.
