CHOCO - DATE BALLS 
1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
1/4 c. cocoa or carob powder
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. uncooked oat cereal
1/4 c. butter
2/3 c. mild flavored honey
1 c. finely snipped Sun Giant dates

In small mixing bowl, blend the peanut butter, cocoa or carob and vanilla, using 2 forks or fingers. Mix in oats.

In a small saucepan, bring butter and honey to a boil, stir 1 minute. Remove from heat and add dates. Blend into oat mixture. Shape into bite-size balls. Chill until firm. When firm, store in refrigerator in plastic bags. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen. Best when served chilled.
