POLISH APPLE CAKE 
1 c. butter
3 c. flour
1 c. granulated sugar
2 egg yolks
2 tbsp. sour cream
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
6 pared and sliced apples
1/2 tsp. cinnamon mixed with 1 c. sugar

Sift flour, sugar, and salt. With knife cut butter into the flour mixture until crumbly. Add egg yolks, vanilla, sour cream; mix well. Spread on buttered cookie sheet which has sides (or 12x9 inch cake pan).

Cover with apples and sprinkle on the cinnamon and sugar topping. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve cold.
