GRANDMA'S BUTTERSCOTCH PIE 
3 egg yolks
2 c. brown sugar
6 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. cold water
2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix egg yolk, brown sugar, flour and butter. Stir in cold water. Then add boiling water. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Cool. Add vanilla. Pour into baked 9-inch pie shell. Top with meringue.

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
4 tbsp. sugar

Beat 3 egg whites with 4 tablespoons sugar. Brown in 400 degree oven until lightly browned. Yield: 6 servings.
