BUTTERSCOTCH PIE 
1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. white sugar
2 heaping tbsp. flour
1 lump butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. milk, 1 of Pet or Carnation

Cook these ingredients until they change color, about 5 minutes. I cook mine in a double boiler.

MERINGUE:

1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3 egg whites
1/3 c. sugar

Beat 2 minutes. Spread on top of pie. Bake 15 minutes at 325 degrees.
