HOT FUDGE PUDDING CAKE 
1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. shortening, melted
1 c. nuts, finely chopped
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot water

Combine flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder, and salt in large bowl. Stir in milk and shortening. Mix well. Add nuts. Pour into 9 x 9 x 2 inch ungreased square pan. Combine brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Sprinkle over batter in pan. Pour hot water evenly over mixture in pan. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. While hot cut into squares. Invert each square on an individual serving plate and spoon sauce over each square. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
