CHEESE BROCCOLI SOUP 
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 c. broccoli, chopped
1/4 lb. diced bacon, fried crisp (or ham)
5 chicken flavored bouillon cubes
1 qt. water

CHEESE SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. Bisquick
2 c. milk
12 oz. grated cheese

Combine soup ingredients, bring to a boil and simmer 45 minutes. Melt butter over low heat, add Bisquick, stirring constantly. Add milk slowly. Stir cheese into white sauce until melted. Add to soup after 45 minutes and simmer additional 15 minutes. Thin with additional milk or water if desired. Serves 6.
