BAKED ITALIAN HOAGIE DIP | |
2 (8 oz. ea.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened 1 cup dairy sour cream 1 pkg. Good Season’s Italian dressing mix 1 tsp. oregano 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Italian-blend cheese 1/4 lb. deli pepperoni, chopped 1/4 lb. Genoa salami, chopped 1/4 lb. ham, chopped 1 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 4 cups chopped Romaine lettuce 1/2 small red or white onion, chopped 1-2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and chopped 1/3 cup Italian dressing, Olive Oil Vinaigrette, or Beano’s Submarine Dressing (found near deli) Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat together first 5 ingredients. Spread in bottom of 8x8 or 9-inch baking dish. Top with shredded cheese. In a small bowl, combine chopped meats. Cover cheese with meats. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and meats start to crisp. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine lettuce, onion, and tomato. Add dressing of choice and toss to mix. Remove dip from oven and allow to cool for 2 to 3 minutes. Spoon salad mixture evenly over dip. Serve with toasted baguette slices. NOTE: • Can add sliced banana peppers or pepperoncini, or chopped black olives. Submitted by: Carol |
