APPLE CRUNCH 
4 med. apples
2/3 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. flour
1 c. rolled oats
1 c. brown sugar

Pare apples and slice very thinly. Arrange slices in a baking dish. Cream butter and sugar. Add flour (with cinnamon added) and oats and mix well. Crumble mixture over apple slices and press down like a crust. Very tart apples may need a little sugar added before the crumbled topping is added. Bake 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees. Sour cream, whipped cream or ice cream make good toppings, if desired. Serves 6.
