BUTTER TARTS 
1/2 c. raisins
Prepared pastry
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. corn syrup
Few drops lemon juice

Pour boiling water over raisins to cover, and let soak until edges become white. Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg, salt, syrup and vanilla and mix until blended.

Thoroughly drain raisins and fold into mixture, adding a few drops of lemon juice. Cut tart pastry and place in tart/muffin pan. Fill 2/3 full with raisin mixture. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until pastry is golden and raisin mixture bubbles to pastry surface.
