15 lb. ground beef Salt & pepper to taste 4 lb. onions 3 bottles Heinz 57 sauce 4 bottles catsup (16 oz.) 1 lb. sugar 1 lb. shortening 1 tbsp. chili powder Cook the meat until thoroughly browned, stirring frequently. Heat shortening and add onions, chopped fine. Cook until done. Add onions to meat and blend. Add all the other ingredients and simmer for 3 hours. |
