FILO BEOREG BAKE | |
Preparation time: 40 minutes. Can be frozen before baking. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 1 lb. filo dough 1 lb. Muenster cheese, cut in sm. pieces 1/2 lb. cottage cheese 1/4 c. chopped parsley 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs Melted butter Mix all cheeses, eggs, parsley, salt together - set aside. In buttered baking dish butter each layer of filo dough until halfway up pan. Place cheese mixture and continue with rest of dough. Butter top and cut into squares before baking - you may freeze at this point if desired. TOPPING: 1 c. milk 1 egg Pour topping over pastry and bake at 400 degrees until golden brown. Excellent for main dish with a tossed salad or for appetizer. |
