POTATO & FRANKFURTER CASSEROLE 
2 tbsp. oil
1/4 c. chopped onion
2 tsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
Pepper
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. celery seed
2/3 c. water
1 lb. frankfurters
4 c. thinly sliced raw potatoes
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. dry mustard
Green beans or any canned vegetable (opt.)

In a frying pan cook onion in oil until brown. In a bowl mix flour, sugar and seasonings; blend thoroughly into onion mixture. Add water, bring to a boil. Split frankfurters lengthwise, cut twice crosswise.

In a casserole arrange alternate layers of potatoes, frankfurters and optional vegetables. Pour the sauce over the top; cover and bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Remove from oven. Pour vinegar over the potatoes and frankfurters, cover and return to oven for 5 minutes. Serves 6.
