MONKEY BREAD 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 c. warm water
2/3 c. Crisco
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
2 eggs
6 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Cream sugar, Crisco, salt. Add boiling water. Mix well (Crisco will melt). Add eggs and beat. Add yeast and then flour. Place in large bowl. Cover with towel and place where it is warm and let rise for one hour or double in size. Roll out on slightly floured surface.

Roll to 1/2 inch thickness and cut in strips. Melt two sticks of butter and dip each strip and lay on pan different directions. Let rise to double size before baking. Bake until golden brown (butter top).
