EASY 'N CHEAP "ROMAN ROAD" | |
This recipe is called a Roman Road because once in my Latin class we were given a project to make this easy treat. The layers of pudding, Oreos etc... represent the structure of an Ancient Roman road. =D 2 (3 oz. ea.) pkgs. jello instant pudding (two different flavors -- I prefer chocolate and vanilla) 1 sleeve Oreo cookies, divided 1 (6 oz.) bag chocolate chips (optional) whipped cream (optional) Note: You can easily mix up different flavors of pudding, and you can also replace the chocolate chips for any acquired taste. Cover the bottom of your pan (any size) with Oreo cookies. Mix up a package of pudding (according to package directions) and pour it over the Oreos. Mix up the second package of pudding and pour over the pudding. Sprinkle chocolate chips over all (if using). Break up the remaining Oreo cookies and sprinkle them on top. Line the longest side of the pan with whipped cream. Leave it in the refrigerator, preferably overnight, but if you are as impatient as me you can leave it in there for thirty minutes! Enjoy!
