1 c. mayonnaise
Pinch of salt
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix above ingredients together. Then mix together 2 cups sifted cake flour and 1/2 cup cocoa. Dissolve 2 teaspoons baking soda in a cup of water. Add flour mixture and water to first mixture alternately. Pour into well-greased 8-inch cake pan. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
