LEMON NUT BREAD 
6 tbsp. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. sugar
1 lemon, rind
1 1/2 c. plain flour

Mix ingredients well and bake in greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

GLAZE:

Juice and pulp of 1 lemon
1/2 c. sugar

Pour over bread while hot.
