BLUE CRAB CAKES 
3 c. blue crab meat
1 med. potato, boiled and mashed
1/2 c. cooked onion
1 c. bread crumbs, unseasoned
3 eggs
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. sweet vermouth
1/4 lb. butter

Place crab meat, mashed potato, onion and 1/2 cup bread crumbs in bowl. Add 2 eggs to mixture and blend to make crab cakes. Dust with garlic powder. Beat 1 egg in bowl and pour 1/2 cup bread crumbs into another bowl. Dip crab cakes in egg and roll in bread crumbs. Cook for 3 minutes in frying pan, then pour vermouth, then brown each side.
