1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
3/4 c. shredded peeled apple
1 well beaten egg
1/3 c. cooking oil
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. butter, melted
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg

Thoroughly stir together first six ingredients, stir in apple. Combine egg, oil and milk. Add all at once to flour mixture, stir until dry ingredients are moistened. Fill greased 1 3/4" miniature muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Dip hot muffins in butter shake gently in plastic bag with mixture of 3/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1 teaspoon nutmeg. Makes approximately 32.
