MRS. HATFIELD'S ALA PILAF | |
1/2 to 1 cube butter 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 c. raw Bulgur Wheat (ALA) 2 c. consomme (undiluted canned) 1/2 tsp. cracker pepper 1/2 tsp. salt 1 sm. can mushrooms Saute onion and wheat in butter. This is an important step to give coating to wheat before adding the rest of the ingredients. Put in buttered casserole and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. (Almonds may be added for "crunch".) |
