YANKEE STYLE GOLEKA CORNBREAD | |
1 1/4 c. sifted all purpose flour 3/4 c. yellow corn meal 2 to 4 tbsp. granulated sugar 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 egg 2/3 c. milk 1/3 c. melted butter fat or salad oil Measure in measuring cup flour, meal, sugar, baking powder, salt. Sift into mixing bowl. In same measuring cup, beat egg; add milk and oil. Mix. Pour into flour mixture, stirring with a fork until flour is moistened. Quickly turn batter into greased, heated pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 425 degrees. |
