CAROLINA COLE SLAW 
1 head cabbage
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped

DRESSING:

1 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. salt
1 c. vinegar

Mix dressing ingredients in small saucepan. Let come to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss. Cover and refrigerate. This keeps well and is good in hot weather as it uses no mayonnaise.
