CORN CHOWDER | |
1 can cream style corn 3 slices bacon, diced 1 tbsp. sugar 1 can evaporated milk 2 egg yolks 1 tbsp. butter 1 onion, diced 1 c. diced potatoes 3 c. hot water Fry bacon in large casserole until crisp. Add onions and potatoes and saute. Add corn and seasonings and water. Cover and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven, add milk and heat slowly. Do not boil. Stir a little hot mixture into egg yolks. Then add to hot mixture. Add butter. |
