MOTHER'S SWEDISH RYE BREAD 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
2 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. lard or butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. rye flour
1 c. All Bran cereal
6 c. white flour

Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add beaten egg. Add other ingredients and knead well. Let rise until double in size. Knead well and form into 3 loaves. Let rise until double in size again. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, then 350 degrees for 40 minutes. When taken from the oven, brush with melted butter. This is a light rye, and the All Bran makes it good.
