BUTTERNUT POUNDCAKE 
1 c. Crisco
1/2 c. butter
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 eggs
1 c. milk
3 c. cake flour
2 1/2 tbsp. butternut flavoring

Cream Crisco and butter together. Add sugar. Add one egg at a time and beat well after each addition. Add salt and baking powder. Gradually add flour and milk, letting flour be last. Add butternut flavoring.

Start in cold oven and do not preheat. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
