WEISE PFEFFERNUSSE--WHITE
PEPPERNUT
 
5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sweet cream
2 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 tsp. cardamom

Cream together the sugar and butter, add cream, lemon and cardamom, then add dry ingredients and mix. Roll into small balls approximately 1 1/2 inch in diameter. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in 325 degree oven until light tan.
