JOAN B'S OCTOBERFEST SAUERKRAUT | |
Canned or bagged sauerkraut, onions, bacon, diced apples or jarred sauce, 3 cans of domestic beer Fry bacon and onions together until bacon is crisp and onions are well cooked. Mix all ingredients, including the bacon fat, together in a crock pot or on stove top and let simmer for approx. 4-6 hours; Whether used on hot dogs or as a side dish for a pork roast, it turns into a meal on it's own!
