BROILED CRUNCH CAKE 
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. granola
1 c. sugar
2 eggs

Pour boiling water over cereal and let stand 20 minutes. Cream the butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs until fluffy. Blend well. Add cereal mixture; mix well. Pour into well greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granola
3 tbsp. cream or evaporated milk
2 tbsp. melted butter

Mix all ingredients, spread over cake and set under broiler until delicately brown and bubbly.
