OATMEAL CARAMEL BARS 
A:

1 bag light caramels, unwrap
7 tbsp. milk or 8 tbsp. cream

B:

1 1/4 c. flour, less 1 tbsp.
1 1/4 c. oatmeal, less 1 tbsp.
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. butter

C:

6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Melt (in double boiler or microwave) caramels and milk until smooth. Combine rest of ingredients. Pat 2/3 of dry mix into 9 x 15 pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle 6 ounce chocolate chips and 1/2 cup nuts over. Pour caramel mix over.

Add remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut while warm.
