NUT ROLL 
7-8 c. flour
6 heaping tbsp. melted butter
3 eggs
2 c. warm milk
2 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar

WALNUT FILLING:

1 c. melted butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon if you wish
2 lb. ground fine English walnuts

Makes 8 rolls.

Combine warm milk and yeast. Let rise 5-10 minutes. Mix rest of dough ingredients and add milk and yeast mixture. Knead 8-10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover and let rise approximately 1 hour or until double in size. Punch down and divide into 8 parts. Roll out each part, one at a time to approximately 1/2 inch thick. Spread with Walnut Filling and roll jelly roll fashion. Let rise 20 minutes. Brush nut roll with beaten egg. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until golden brown. Use a 9 x 13 inch pan.
