1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. applesauce
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 c. raisins

Cream shortening, sugar and egg. Add applesauce, then dry ingredients. Add raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees about 15 minutes.
