BAGELS 
1 pkg. yeast
2 c. warm water (105 to 110 degrees)
2 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. salt
5 c. flour
Poppy seeds or sesame seeds

Dissolve yeast, honey and salt in warm water. Add flour 2 cups at a time and mix very well. Knead dough on floured surface for 5 to 10 minutes until elastic. Put in covered bowl in a closed surface (oven or microwave with 1 cup of boiled water). Let rise approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Divide into 12 equal parts and roll each ball into bagel shapes - securing the ends together. Boil bagels 3 minutes and bake 25 minutes at 425 degrees.

Sprinkle with poppy or sesame seeds before baking.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
