OYSTER DRESSING 
1 c. cornbread crumbs
5 c. toast or hard bread crumbs

Add enough liquid from fowl (chicken, etc.) to moisten bread crumbs good. Add: 1 pt. oysters 1 tsp. sage, add more if you like the taste 1 c. chopped celery or celery seed 1/2 tsp. thyme 1 tsp. scraped onion 2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. mayonnaise or butter 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 pinch of baking powder

Mix all ingredients and stuff fowl, if desired or put in baking dish for a few minutes. We don't like it dry or hard.
