5 c. cooked diced turkey 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans cream of celery soup 1 2/3 c. (lg. can) undiluted Carnation Evaporated milk 2/3 c. chopped celery 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. seasoned pepper 1 c. salted peanuts 1 c. (11 oz. can) drained mandarin oranges Puff pastry shells or biscuits Combine turkey, soup, Carnation, celery, salt and seasoned pepper in large saucepan. Cover and heat over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in peanuts and mandarin oranges. Continue cooking over low heat to serving temperature, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour into chafing dish and serve with puff pastry shells or biscuits. Makes 10 to 12 servings. Delicious served with a vegetable skewer of small, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices and olives or tart pickles. |
