MOLASSES CANDY 
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sorghum molasses
1/2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
Pinch of soda

Put sugar and molasses in sauce pan. Add water. Stir until dissolved. Cook until hairs string when tested with a spoon or fork. Add butter and stir. Pour into bowl which has been buttered or greased. Grease hands well and pick up product when cool enough to work with. Pull just until it looks golden. Pour on plates let spread, cut into squares to cool.
