HAMBURGER STEAKS MEXICANO 
1 lb. ground beef
2 onions, thinly sliced
1/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. canned chopped green chilies
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper

Saute onions in butter in large skillet until slightly browned. Remove onions from pan. Keep them warm. In a mixing bowl, lightly combine ground beef, green chilies, salt, garlic powder, and pepper with fork. Form into 4 thick patties. Saute hamburgers to desired degree of doneness over medium heat in remaining butter in skillet. Top hamburgers with browned onions. Makes 4 servings.
