COCONUT MACAROONS (DROPPED) | |
3 egg whites 1 c. sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. salt 2 c. coconut Mix beaten egg whites, sugar and cornstarch in double boiler; cook 20 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon all the time. Take from fire; add salt and coconut; drop from a teaspoon onto a greased baking sheet. Bake in oven at 325 degrees about 30 minutes, or until browned delicately. Yield 18-20. Note: Place in tight container to soften. |
