SCOTT'S CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water (hot)
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon

Sift together flour and sugar in a large bowl; set aside. In a saucepan, put butter, shortening, cocoa and water; bring to a boil. Pour over flour and sugar. Mix well then add eggs, buttermilk, soda and cinnamon; mix well. Grease and flour a cake pan and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and add frosting.

CHOCOLATE ICING:

1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. cocoa

Mix butter, sugar, vanilla, cocoa and milk together. Cream together until fluffy.
