PEANUT SOUR CREAM CANDY | |
2 cups sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 cup sour cream Few grains cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 3 drops almond extract 1 cup peanuts Mix sugar, salt and cream and boil gently, without stirring, to firm-ball stage (245°F.) Cool to lukewarm, add flavoring and beat until creamy. Fold in peanuts, and pour into buttered shallow pan. When cool, cut into squares. Makes 48 squares. Submitted by: Rosario Snyder |
