MY GRANDMOTHER'S CHURCH SUPPER
CABBAGE SALAD
 
3 lb. cabbage
1 or 2 green peppers
1 lg. onion
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 pt. white vinegar
2 tsp. turmeric
2 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. mustard seed
2 tbsp. salt

Shred first 3 ingredients. Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly and add to vegetables. Best when made day before serving. Keeps indefinitely in refrigerator. Serves a crowd, or recipe can be halved.
