YE OLE' ENGLISH FRUIT CAKE | |
5 lg. eggs 1/2 lb. real butter 1 c. sugar 1 3/4 c. flour (plain) 1/2 tbsp. baking powder 3/4 lb. cherries (candied) 1 lb. pineapple 4 c. pecans 1/2 oz. bottle vanilla & lemon flavoring Mix fruit and nuts with flour, cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs; blend. Add nuts, fruit and flour. Add flavoring; mix well. Grease wax paper line tube pan. Bake at 250 degrees for 3 hours. Start in cold, oven let cool in pan. |
