YUMMY NORWEGIAN WAFFLES
Great and easy recipe to make ahead of time. Store waffle batter in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

2 eggs, separated
1 3/4 cups whole milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. vanilla sugar (I find it at Ikea or Whole Foods)
1/2 to 3/4 cups sugar (or less, to taste)
6 tbsp. melted butter
4 tbsp. wheat germ (may be added if you like)

Beat the egg whites with an electric mixer, set aside. Beat egg yolks and stir in the milk. Beat in flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and sugar. Add the melted butter.

When all combined, fold in the beaten egg whites.

Pour 2/3 cup of batter into center of hot waffle iron. Bake until steaming stops.

Serve with strawberry jam and sliced Munster cheese or Norwegian brown cheese.
