CANDIED WALNUTS 
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Put 2 1/2 cups walnuts in pan in oven for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cook without stirring until it forms a soft ball in water. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and pour nuts into this mixture. Stir until it disappears. Pour on oil paper and separate.
