MAPLE CANDIED WALNUTS 
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/3 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
2-3 c. walnuts
1 tbsp. butter

Mix sugar, corn syrup, water and salt. Stirring constantly over low heat, boil to soft ball stage (238 degrees). Remove from heat. Blend maple flavoring and butter. Add walnuts and stir gently until mixture becomes creamy. Turn on wax paper and separate.
