HAMBURGER CAKES 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 c. rolled oats
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 c. chopped onions
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. prepared mustard

SAUCE:

1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. water
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

18 buns or sandwich rolls

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Mix sauce ingredients together in a bowl. Set aside. Mix remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Make cakes (about 1 inch thick). Brown lightly on both sides. Place in a roasting pan. Pour sauce over cakes. Cover pan and cook 1 1/2 hours. Yield: 18 cakes.

NOTE: Make ahead and freeze to reheat for a party or as a quick supper.
